
Dr. Julie Martinez Verhoff
Dr. Julie Martinez Verhoff is Director of Educational Audiology Advocacy, LLC, where she champions best practices and access to audiological services for students with hearing loss in educational settings. As a certified educational audiologist (CH-EdAud), she is dedicated to advocating for the profession and ensuring children receive the comprehensive support they need to thrive academically.
With extensive experience in educational and pediatric audiology, Dr. Verhoff has served as Director of Audiology at River School and Joe Dimaggio Children’s Hospital, Audiology Manager at Nemours Children’s Health and has worked with diverse educational programs supporting children with hearing loss. Her expertise includes developing individualized education plans (IEPs), implementing hearing assistive technology in classrooms, and training educators on supporting students with hearing differences.
Dr. Verhoff holds a PhD in Audiology from Gallaudet University, a Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a BA in Speech & Hearing Sciences from the University of New Mexico. She volunteers with the Global Foundation for Children with Hearing Loss and is passionate about mentoring future audiologists and speech-language pathologists.
